Leslie Lamb
EVP, Risk & Resiliency Management
Leslie Lamb is the former Head of Global Risk & Resiliency Management at Cisco Systems, Inc in San Jose, CA. She spent 20 years within Risk Management at Cisco and was responsible for managing enterprise level risks that Cisco faced and developing global risk transfer and business resiliency strategies. Some of her more noteworthy projects included working with all business units to identify and mitigate risks and implementing global financing strategies to address these risks. She also led the Business Resiliency team and implemented global business continuity plans, including a specific pandemic plan to be utilized in the event of catastrophic business impacts.
During her time at Cisco, Ms. Lamb was instrumental in implementing a cyber security program for Cisco’s customers to utilize that included a robust cyber assessment, cyber strategy and cyber risk transfer opportunities. She regularly met with Cisco’s executive team and briefed the board on risk strategies.
Prior to her role at Cisco, Ms. Lamb held various jobs within the insurance industry, including Client Manager at Marsh and Underwriting Manager at AIG. In these positions, her emphasis and passion was to work directly with clients from many different industries to help them identify, mitigate and manage risk.
Ms. Lamb has been active in professional risk organizations and served on the board of directors for RIMS (Risk and Insurance Managers Society) at the local level and national level. She has given many presentations on Enterprise Risk Management, Cyber Security, Supply Chain and Directors & Officers Liability. She was one of the leaders in TIRF (Technology Industry Risk Forum), a group of ~30 multinational high-tech companies who met annually to learn from each other.
Ms Lamb has a BA and MA in English and has lived abroad and traveled to many different countries throughout her career. She is semi-fluent in Spanish.
